WANT TO BE A BIT RADICAL?
You can start by growing some of your own food. It's a great step towards escaping from some of the tentacles of the industrial/state/commercialised world on which we're so heavily dependent. One of my eco colleagues, Steve Jones, definitions of Permaculture was "Revolution disguised as Organic Gardening".
YOU DON'T HAVE A GARDEN?
GARDENSHARE Well why not find someone with a garden locally who can't manage it themselves for time or health restrictions. If you look around town suburbs you'll soon spot the ones that need help - there's various organisations that help people to connect in this way, like Lend and Tend.
