WOODWORK STUDENT BUILDS BRILLIANT SHELTER!

I always love to see how people can pick up a few new skills and not just run with them but go off at a gallop...

Charlotte did the first and second level woodwork courses with me and helped us to build the new shelter at Perth Community Farm. Now, with help from partner Chris, she's gone on to build her own brilliant outdoor woodworking space... Fantastic stuff!

Charlotte's garden workspace...

...looks a brilliant professional job!...

...and sturdy too, great work Charlotte and Chris :-)

As well being a brilliant help generally at Perth Community Farm and now one of the main team managing everything there, Charlotte helped us build the new farm shelter over last winter and this spring:

The farm frame up. Note this is a different way to do a roof, with trusses and purlins rather than rafters, but both ways are well within many peoples' abilities and just revolve around the stuff I teach on the first two courses and a very basic set of tools. So come on these courses and learn how to do it!
