If you're wondering about whether it's a good idea to get a polytunnel and what's involved in setting one up and managing it this is the course for you...
VENUE: Perth Community Farm
|
Lots of things, tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines etc etc like plenty of heat. With a bit of planning you can have stuff growing all year round - not bad for Scotland... |
WHAT DOES THE COURSE COVER?
- DIFFERENT CONSTRUCTION methods and features - there's four different ones for you to see
- USES: growing stuff, extending your growing season and range of stuff you can grow, and lots of other potential for these spaces too
- SETTING UP AND MANAGEMENT: layout, keeping on top of weeds, paths, edges, different kinds of bed, on-going maintenance, common problems, time commitment
- ...and please ask lots of questions about your own ideas...

The open area of our main tunnel makes an excellent space for teaching woodwork etc... |
|
...also for events like Seedsavers meetings... |
|
...and as a workshop, we're making the trusses for our polytunnel porch here. |
