ALL THINGS SUSTAINABLE - Woodworking and more...

We had a great response from the courses we put on at the farm last year, people find them really informative and we have lots of fun too, so I'm building on that for this year with repeats of the popular events and some brand new ones too.

Lots of clamps... a brand new level two woodwork course, whole weekend for repairing, reclaiming, repurposing and getting creative

I'm putting everything in a collection here on EVENTBRITE

The central theme is helping people to become more resilient, to grow some of their own food, to make or repair some of the stuff they've been buying, to be able to cope better with rapidly changing times, to live more sustainably. Whether you want to prepare for a likely collapse of the industrial world (is it already happening?) or whether you can see some sort of easy transition to a technology based future, it's a good feeling to be that bit more self-reliant, and it can be a lot of fun getting there.

SO WHAT DOES A SUSTAINABLE WAY OF LIFE LOOK LIKE?

That's the question I asked myself back in 2006. I started travelling around the UK and Portugal, visiting eco projects where people were doing all sorts of different low-impact, sustainable stuff: Lammas, Chickeshack, Tombreck... and many more. I've met lots of inspiring people, seen what works and what doesn't work, and some of the problems and pitfalls that crop up. I've packed lots of that practical experience is into these courses, come and join us on one!
